Full Time | 40 Hours per Week Job Summary We are looking to identify a strong Facilities Manager to support the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the Himalayan Institute campus. This is a working leadership role that combines hands-on maintenance with coordination of projects, team efforts, and vendor activity. In this role, you will help ensure that campus buildings and grounds remain safe, functional, and well maintained, while also contributing to larger projects and infrastructure improvements. You will work closely with the Retreat Center Director and collaborate with the Operations Director on systems, documentation, and operational alignment. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of both daily operations and longer-term facilities projects in a dynamic and mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Team Coordination Coordinate daily tasks for the Facilities team and support overall workflow and priorities Create and manage schedules for Facilities team members, ensuring appropriate coverage and alignment with campus needs Set daily work priorities based on operational needs and direction from the Retreat Center Director Serve as a point of contact for vendors and contractors working on campus Communicate updates, progress, and needs with leadership Facilities Maintenance Perform general maintenance and repair work across campus Support building systems and preventative maintenance efforts Maintain safe, organized work areas and equipment Assist with seasonal campus needs including outdoor upkeep Support event setup and teardown and campus readiness during severe weather Systems and Operations Support Monitor building systems and utilities, identifying issues and supporting ongoing maintenance Assist in tracking maintenance tasks, schedules, and supplies Help ensure campus operations run smoothly and efficiently Project Support Participate in special projects such as remodels, infrastructure upgrades, and campus improvements Work with vendors and internal teams to support project execution Required Qualifications Experience in facility maintenance or related trades Working knowledge of general building systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors and outdoors year-round Valid driver's license Preferred Attributes Reliable and self-motivated Service-oriented and collaborative Safety-conscious and detail-oriented Flexible and responsive to changing needs Benefits Vegetarian meals during shift hours Access to yoga classes and exclusive seminars Discounts at our wellness and retreat centers Discounts at MOKA Origins
