Job description Facilities and Construction Project Manager Hospitality Projects & Renovations We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities and Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, construction, coordination, and delivery of Hospitality projects and renovations for a multi unit company. This role will act as the key liaison between the company, contractors, subcontractors, and other construction professionals, ensuring that all construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications. This individual will manage all phases of construction, from initial planning, blue prints, to the final handover, while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Project Management:
Oversee the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring that work is progressing according to the project plan and schedule.
Project Schedule Management:
Monitor and report on project schedules weekly, ensuring timely execution and identifying any potential delays or bottlenecks.
Budget Management:
Manage project budgets, ensure that construction projects are completed within financial constraints, and report regularly on financial performance.
Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate subcontractor trades, consultants, vendors, and construction management partners to ensure efficient collaboration and execution.
Risk Mitigation & Issue Resolution:
Identify risks and challenges in project execution and develop mitigation strategies. Resolve issues quickly and efficiently to minimize project delays.
Contract Management:
Manage contracts and change orders, ensuring that all modifications are properly negotiated, documented, and assessed for impact on the project's scope, budget, and timeline.
Document Control:
Maintain accurate records for all construction-related documentation, including shop drawings, RFIs (Requests for Information), addenda, and permits.
Compliance & Approvals:
Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained, and that all construction activities are in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Communication & Reporting:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, subcontractors, vendors, and municipalities. Facilitate the exchange of information to ensure smooth project execution. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on project milestones, progress, and financial targets. Clear coordination with operations team, contractors, and corporate management. Understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain logs, and track warranties. Work closely with General Managers and Director of Operations to address daily facility needs, respond to emergency maintenance requests, and support restaurant remodels or new store openings.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically managing hospitality construction and renovations.

Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage a diverse team of construction professionals.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess project challenges and create effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant industry certifications or licenses (e.g., PMP, LEED). Experience working with high-end hospitality or hotel renovation projects. Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work on-site and visit construction sites regularly. Must be able to navigate a construction site, including working in varying weather conditions.
