Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Warehouse and Facilities Manager to lead our warehouse, shipping, and facility operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the efficient management of warehouse activities, daily packing and shipping, inventory control, and facilities maintenance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence while managing a talented team dedicated to delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities Effectively lead and direct the team of employees to include coaching, counseling, training, performance evaluations and employee development. Continually evaluate the shipping and warehousing processes and controls including, but not limited to, packaging and kitting policies, warehouse flow and organization, inventory controls and management of freight and logistics partners. Provide assistance in negotiating contracts and preparing key operational reports. Review and assess packaging and kitting polices and work towards creating SOP's around kitting best practices for all types of signage and other products kitted. These SOP's should focus on the quality and packaging of the products while minimizing freight cost. Constantly look for cost savings opportunities in both areas, as well as new vendor alliances that could enhance the operational effectiveness and cost structure of shipping, warehousing and purchasing. Verify receipt of orders and assess for damaged, short or missing orders. Report defective materials or questionable quality of goods received to the CFO and Director of Operations. Communicate and negotiate with vendors (both supply and logistics) as needed to rectify performance issues such as missing delivery expectations, damaged shipments, poor packaging, etc. Manage and maintain inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply of materials while maintaining optimal quantities. Work with production management and the CFO on assessing appropriate buying levels based on materials consumption and order lead times. Validate and process receipts in a timely manner and route the approval and PO to accounting per procedure. Ensure materials are delivered to the appropriate department in a timely fashion and the leads are made aware of the delivery. Establish and monitor facilities maintenance and repair logs to ensure the work is being completed on time and as scheduled. Monitor the facilities help desk ticket system to ensure timely completion of requests. Complete and distribute monthly reporting of maintenance activity to help identify trends and on going issues. Monitor various inspections to include for sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment based on company and departmental 5S standards. Work and communicate respectfully with all levels of staff and management; focus on building a collaborative relationship with artisans, leads and management, with a goal of providing superior operational support to the entire team. Manage employee information related to time, attendance and performance, using the company payroll and HR system. Skills Proven experience in warehouse supervision, operations management, or facilities management within a fast-paced production environment. Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance issues and resolutions. Expertise in process management methodologies including lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Proficient in inventory control techniques, demand planning, production scheduling, and materials management. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a safety-first culture. Familiarity with budgeting processes, procurement practices including purchasing strategies, and supply chain analytics tools. Competent in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, data analysis, and presentation purposes.
