Job Description Summary:
Responsible for organizing and managing the Facilities Management functions. This includes the Plant Operations Department, the Project Management & Construction Department and the Property Management Department. Employee is also responsible for the Facilities Management of the hospital and WTH system buildings. Interviews and hires department personnel; trains, assigns and monitors work, evaluates performance, counsels, disciplines, and recommends salary increases and discharge of Department Directors, coordinators, secretary, project specialist, supervisors, engineers and managers. Supervises the activities of the Director of Plant Operations & Maintenance, the Director of Project Management & Construction and the Director of Property Management. Develops and monitors space utilization plans for all system properties. Plan, initiate, and establishes priorities and manages construction projects. Tours and inspects equipment and engineering spaces; initiates and supervises correction of equipment discrepancies. Initiates, screens and approves or disapproves purchase requests. Determines needs and requirements and prepares budgets and monthly reports. Investigates incidents/violations and enforces safety guidelines. Monitors rental property utilization and management. Reviews codes and regulations and enforces compliance. Develop and maintains a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed. Performs Life Safety building tour weekly. Performs weekly rounding/follow up of building conditions inspection
