In this role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our heavy machinery, vehicle fleet, specialized tools, and real estate. Your primary goal is to maximize asset utilization, minimize operational costs, ensure strict safety compliance, and execute strategic buy-sell decisions to support our growing construction project pipeline.
Responsibilities Lifecycle Management :
Track and manage construction assets from initial procurement through deployment, maintenance, and ultimate disposal or resale.
Utilization Optimization :
Monitor equipment deployment across multiple jobsites to maximize utilization rates and minimize costly idle time.
Maintenance Coordination :
Partner with the shop manager to oversee preventive maintenance schedules, reducing project downtime.
Inventory & Tracking :
Maintain our digital asset management tracking systems (e.g., GPS telemetry, RFID) for real-time visibility.
Compliance & Risk :
Ensure all fleet vehicles and machinery meet DOT, OSHA, and local environmental compliance standards.
Qualifications Education :
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience :
4+ years of asset management experience, specifically within the construction, heavy equipment, or logistics industries.
Software Proficiency :
Hands-on experience with asset tracking software (e.g., B2W, Telematics, Tenna) and advanced Excel skills.
Communication :
Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with equipment vendors, dealerships, and auction houses.
Regulatory Knowledge :
Solid understanding of OSHA, DOT, and safety regulations related to heavy machinery. Benefits and Perks Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.
