Job Description

Position Summary The Facilities Associate serves the mission of the church by stewarding its multi-campus physical plant so that worship, discipleship, and Christian education can flourish. This role is hands-on and operational. It is responsible for the technical operation, maintenance, and repair of campus building systems. The Facilities Associate serves as the department's day-to-day facilities caretaker. Mission Alignment & Spiritual Expectations Demonstrate a growing Christian faith and a life consistent with the church's beliefs and values. View facilities work as a ministry role that supports worship, teaching, and outreach. Model servant leadership, humility, and a heart for supporting pastors, staff, students, and families. Uphold the church's standards of conduct and commitment to its mission. Key Responsibilities Hands-On Operational Tasks Opening and closing the campus on assigned schedule Resets rooms as needed for various church and school related activities Works maintenance requests from staff Responds to facility emergencies Performs other facilities related duties as assigned Janitorial duties as needed throughout facilities Ensures restrooms are properly stocked/cleaned throughout the day Light maintenance duties to include light bulb replacement, preventive maintenance on HVAC, painting, plumbing,and routine maintenance of bus, van, and golf carts Maintain cleanliness of outside grounds Polish sanctuary brass and fill candles to support worship services Assist with school car line Ministry & Sunday Support Supports all worship spaces and classrooms for daily events/services Be present or on call for Sunday mornings and major church events Ensures room setups, teardowns, and special events as directed Safety & Compliance Supports compliance with fire, safety, and building codes Monitors and responds to safety needs of school and church Supports safety checks and address hazards promptly Vendor Coordination Coordinate and oversee service vendor activities as needed Qualifications Ability to work flexible hours, including Sundays Physical ability to lift and perform building maintenance tasks Experience in church and/or school environments preferred
Pay:
$15.50 - $21.95 per hour Expected hours: No more than 23.0 per week
