Loveland Living Planet Aquarium (LLPA) is a mission-driven institution dedicated to inspiring people to explore, discover, and learn about Earth's diverse ecosystems. Position Summary:

The Facilities Technician supports the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of building systems and infrastructure. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facilities upkeep.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required 0-1+ years of maintenance or related experience preferred Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, painting, and drywall, Experience with basic problem solving and diagnoses Willingness to learn multiple trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision Ability to perform physical work (lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods) CPR certification preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks, including painting and drywall, under supervision Assist Technicians II and III with more complex repairs and projects, including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical Follow established procedures and perform consistent preventative maintenance Learn and apply foundational skills across multiple trades Report issues and escalate complex problems to senior team members Follow all established safety and compliance guidelines Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient facility operations Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve facility issues in a timely manner Follow all safety policies and procedures and maintain compliance with regulations Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate effectively with team members and other departments Assist with facility improvement projects and general upkeep Support emergency response efforts as needed Physical Demands of the
