Valley Residential Care Valley Residential Care is seeking a highly reliable, experienced Assistant House Manager to support daily operations in a structured residential setting serving adults with mental health and behavioral needs. This is a working leadership role —not entry-level. You will be expected to operate independently, step into leadership without hesitation, and maintain accountability with both staff and resident care at all times. We are not hiring someone to "grow into" this role. We are hiring someone who already knows how to do the job as an assistant manager and caregiver, working with the mental health population. Compensation & Schedule $26.00/hour starting wage Full-time | 12-hour shifts Days off typically Monday & Tuesday (flexibility required based on operational needs) Role Expectations (Non-Negotiable) This position exists to fill operational gaps, maintain standards, and support leadership.
You will be expected to:
Step in and cover shifts with little notice when needed Perform all caregiving duties independently and correctly Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant Support and hold staff accountable in real time Assist with training and onboarding new employees Maintain awareness of staffing needs and scheduling gaps Oversee kitchen operations , including: Food ordering and inventory Meal prep oversight Food safety and compliance Staff accountability in the kitchen Maintain a calm, professional presence in high-stress situations Carry and respond to communication devices at all times (radio, pager, keys) Minimum Qualifications (Required to Be Considered) Applicants who do not meet these will not be considered.
