• Non-Exempt The Town of Jackson is seeking a qualified, motivated professional to serve the community as a Facilities Assistant with a focus on START facilities.

Primary duties:

inspecting, repairing, and maintaining structures, mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) and appliances at the START facility/fleet maintenance center as well as bus stops, shelters, and transit centers; maintaining equipment at bus storage facilities and wash bay; and snow removal operations at these facilities. The ideal candidate brings:

A positive attitude and public service orientation. High School graduation or equivalent. Preference for experience with HVAC, large commercial building maintenance, and any licensing or certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems. Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 2 months. Experience with snow removal operations Benefits include 100% employer-paid health, vision & dental premiums
