Job Description
FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a company based in Mobile, AL. In this position, you will p erform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Pay Rate $1 7 per hour Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 7: 00am to 3:30 pm Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
- Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager Forklift Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving
- 3+ years of forklift experience
- Forklift Certification required
- Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
- Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- A minimum of 40 hours per week
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. Job Type Full-time, Temporary to Hire Benefits
