Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator, where your expertise will drive the seamless movement of materials at our facility. In this vital role, you will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and organize inventory efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment that values precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Duties Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory within the yard, and prepare shipments Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality Accurately document all shipping and receiving activities through data entry into management systems and inventory management software Assist with picking, packing, and staging orders for shipment, and adherence to trade compliance standards Collaborate with production staff to optimize distribution workflows and improve shipping logistics Conduct routine safety inspections of equipment and work areas; report any issues promptly to ensure a safe working environment Experience Proven experience with a strong understanding of operations and logistics fundamentals Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment with valid certification preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms, and inventory management software Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry and reporting purposes Knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing procedures, and international trade regulations is a plus Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in stock management and order fulfillment Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards Join us as a Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator — where your skills will keep our supply chain moving smoothly!
