Load and unload shipments accurately using proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures. Pick orders efficiently using order picker equipment and ensure accuracy with barcode scanning systems. Manage inventory levels within the warehouse management system (WMS), conducting regular stock counts and adjustments. Follow all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety standards in production and warehouse operations to prevent accidents. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and preparing items for dispatch. Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure all materials handling equipment operates safely and effectively. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift trucks), Hi-Lo's, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar heavy machinery. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and barcode scanning for logistics purposes. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while adhering to safety standards in production environments. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and general warehouse safety standards. Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for order picking, inventory counts, and shipment verification. Previous experience in shipping & receiving operations or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
