Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team! In this vital role, you will operate various types of warehouse equipment—including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and lift trucks—to efficiently handle materials, manage inventory, and support warehouse distribution operations. Your bilingual skills will enable seamless communication with diverse team members and enhance safety protocols across the facility. Duties Safely operate stand-up forklifts such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage inventory levels through regular cycle counts and updates in the warehouse management system (WMS). Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining accurate records. Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for repairs to ensure optimal forklift safety and functionality. Follow OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols during all manual handling and heavy lifting tasks to prevent accidents. Support warehouse management by maintaining organized storage areas, adhering to warehouse distribution procedures, and assisting with materials handling as needed. Requirements Proven experience operating a variety of warehouse equipment including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and lift trucks. Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish) to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inventory management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures. Knowledge of forklift safety protocols, OSHA regulations, heavy equipment operation standards, and manual handling best practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy. Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and stand for extended periods while performing manual handling tasks safely.
