In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing inventory, and ensuring safe operation of various warehouse equipment. Your expertise will help maintain smooth warehouse distribution processes, support shipping and receiving activities, and uphold safety standards across all operations. Responsibilities Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment safely and efficiently to pick, load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Conduct manual handling of products, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and damage. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning tools, and other logistics technology to track stock levels accurately. Assist with order picking by selecting products based on shipping orders with precision and speed. Support shipping and receiving functions by verifying incoming shipments, inspecting goods for quality and accuracy, and preparing items for outbound delivery. Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal operation of all material handling equipment. Follow warehouse safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Skills Proven experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management procedures, and barcode scanning technology. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order picking, load & unload procedures. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations for forklift safety protocols and manual handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts accurately. Excellent materials handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting techniques and proper use of material handling equipment operation. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required; a strong understanding of warehouse operations is essential.
