Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to oversee activity and ensure compliance with security protocols. Manage access control systems by verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations by following established emergency response procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy. Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as required to maintain a secure environment. Utilize conflict management and de-escalation techniques to handle disputes or disruptive behavior professionally. Operate security tools such as Taser, firearm handling equipment (where authorized), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR when necessary. Conduct physical security measures including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents by providing relevant information and support. Experience Prior experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems, and emergency response procedures. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred to ensure readiness for medical emergencies. Familiarity with incident report writing and performing background checks enhances effectiveness in this role. Demonstrated ability to manage conflict de-escalation techniques while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties involving walking, standing for extended periods, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks.
