This position performs a variety of warehouse and material-handling activities, including receiving, inspecting, staging, loading, and unloading freight and containers. The Warehouse Operator works closely with supervisors and team members to ensure freight is handled properly and shipments are completed accurately and on schedule.

Yes Essential Duties and Responsibilities Management reserves the right to modify or assign additional duties and responsibilities as business needs require. Follow all company, department, customer, and safety procedures. Receive incoming freight in a safe, professional, and efficient manner. Inspect freight upon receipt and document any damaged or compromised freight. Complete inspection reports and take photographs of damaged or compromised freight. Accurately cube, organize, and stage incoming freight according to department and account procedures. Complete receiving documentation accurately and within established timeframes. Inspect freight prior to loading to ensure it is properly prepared for shipment. Follow all loading and shipping procedures. Follow container loading and container report procedures. Maximize container capacity by properly cubing and utilizing available space. Safely load and unload containers using a forklift and other appropriate material-handling equipment. Complete assigned loading and receiving activities within established timeframes. Work collaboratively with supervisors and coworkers when making loading and freight-handling decisions. Communicate professionally and respectfully with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other personnel. Participate in a team-oriented work environment and support coworkers as needed. Attend daily start-up and safety meetings. Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any issues or safety concerns. Accurately record and report department activity. Complete and submit required daily reports at the end of each shift. Use handheld devices or equipment to accurately perform receiving and loading functions. Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work area. Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Key Skills The following qualifications represent the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Six months of related warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material-handling experience preferred. Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and other workplace documents. Ability to complete routine reports and written documentation accurately. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, supervisors, and coworkers. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to work with standard units of U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance. Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Ability to use sound judgment and common sense when addressing routine workplace situations. Ability to identify and resolve routine problems within established procedures. Ability to safely operate a forklift after completing required company certification. Forklift Certification — Company Certified. Hazardous Materials Handling Certification — Company Certified. Work Environment and Physical Conditions The Warehouse Operator works in a warehouse and shipping environment and may be exposed to: Moving mechanical equipment and machinery. Forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Toxic or caustic chemicals. Outdoor weather conditions. Vibration. Elevated noise levels. Employees are expected to follow all applicable safety requirements and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job duties.
