This role is essential in supporting efficient warehouse operations, including material handling, order fulfillment, and shipping and receiving functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling, contributing to a safe and productive environment. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Assist with order picking using RF scanners and pick systems to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Load and unload shipments while adhering to OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting. Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing goods against shipping documents. Manage materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing inventory, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure proper storage, inventory accuracy, and adherence to warehouse management system protocols. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical integrity and report any issues promptly. Assist in construction or maintenance tasks as needed to support warehouse operations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Proficiency in operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, OSHA safety standards, and mechanical knowledge. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods. Strong understanding of warehouse procedures including inventory control and order fulfillment. Experience with construction or industrial environments is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
