In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to handle materials safely and accurately. Your expertise will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations, proper order picking, and effective warehouse management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Duties Operate forklifts, Double Reach, Electric pallet jack, and other heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse Perform order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately Load and unload shipments with precision while adhering to OSHA safety standards and mechanical best practices Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation Conduct materials handling tasks such as stacking pallets, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment Utilize pallet jacks for heavy lifting tasks to move goods efficiently throughout the facility Support warehouse supervision by following established procedures for heavy equipment operation and materials handling Experience Proven warehouse experience with a focus on distribution or logistics operations Hands-on experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking procedures Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling Mechanical knowledge of forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus Prior experience in shipping & receiving or construction environments is advantageous Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles in warehouse settings are beneficial but not required 1st
Shift Time:
5:00 am to 1:30pm (Overtime/Weekend when needed) 2nd
Shift Time:
2:30 pm to 11pm (Overtime/Weekend when needed)
Required:
OSHA Forklift Certification Preferred :
Bilingual - Open to work any shift
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
