Vacaville, CA Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced production warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and effective materials handling techniques. Duties Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas. Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Support heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring safe handling of materials at all times. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution and operations. Familiarity with order picking processes, including experience as an order picker or in shipping & receiving roles. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in warehouse supervision is a plus, along with an understanding of materials handling best practices.
