Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 3rd shift forklift driver to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of materials within our warehouse environment during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in equipment operation, inventory management, and safety protocols, contributing to seamless warehouse distribution processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, precision, and productivity are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse. Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems to fulfill shipping orders accurately and efficiently. Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and updating warehouse management systems. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal forklift performance while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Support warehouse management with materials handling tasks such as manual lifting, heavy lifting, and proper load securing. Follow all safety protocols related to forklift operation and warehouse safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and improve overall warehouse operations. Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements, order processing, and reporting discrepancies. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar material handling equipment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments preferred. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including order picking, load & unload procedures, and inventory management. Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently during third shift hours. Good communication skills for effective teamwork and adherence to safety standards.
