Job description
Position Title:
Forklift Operator/Yard Captain The Forklift Operator/Yard Captain is primarily responsible for launching and hauling boats, organizing thedisplay/arrangement of boats on the dealership premises, and boat transportation to and from otherlocations.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages the safe and efficient moving of boats in and on the dealership property, including hauling,launching, and docking Coordinates transportation of boats, trailers, and motors to and from off-site locations includingcustomer locations, boat shows, etc.
Coordinates/maintains the yard storage needs:
stands, blocks, covers, etc. Coordinates/schedules maintenance on yard trucks, trailers, and forklifts and maintains service records Monitors the overall flow of work in the yard and all yard maintenance Unload boats, trailers, engines and cargo Assist in various maintenance duties (property and equipment) Assist the Service Department is moving service boats to and from the service bays. Coordinate and manage the organization of warehouse
Requirements:
Boating/trailering experience and prior marine dealership experience helpful Professional appearance Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven Have a valid state driver's license and current DOT physical record Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen Safety and respect of Customer and Dealership property and equipment
Job Type:
Full-time Salary:
$23.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
