Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our client's dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and clamp trucks, to facilitate the safe and accurate movement of goods within the warehouse. Your expertise will support seamless warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse safety standards, equipment maintenance, and inventory control, contributing to a productive and safe working environment. Duties Operate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company protocols. Load and unload shipments accurately using barcode scanning systems and order picker equipment. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment while maintaining accuracy through proper order picking techniques. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety. Manage inventory levels by updating warehouse management systems (WMS) with barcode scans and manual entries. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials efficiently for storage or dispatch. Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards in production environments. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow processes and improve overall warehouse operations. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklift equipment such as lift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar machinery. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory management practices. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and materials handling. Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, load & unload processes. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements. Experience with equipment repair or basic maintenance is a plus. Prior warehouse experience involving manual handling and heavy lifting is preferred. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
