In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods within our warehouse distribution center. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of products. Duties Safely operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse. Manage inventory by accurately scanning barcodes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensuring proper storage and retrieval of goods. Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance in line with OSHA standards. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, stacking pallets, and maintaining clear aisles for safe movement. Follow all forklift safety protocols and safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents or injuries. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate material flow, perform manual handling tasks, and maintain accurate inventory records. Skills Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklift safety protocols, and other heavy lifting equipment. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures. Knowledge of materials handling techniques including manual handling and heavy equipment operation in a warehouse setting. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in production environments and warehouse operations. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts, weight measurements, and load capacities. Excellent attention to detail for inventory management, order picking accuracy, and load/unload procedures. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and adhering to safety standards.
