POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Warehouseman / Forklift Operator to join our cold storage warehouse team in North Fort Myers, Florida. This is a hands-on warehouse position responsible for safely loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and storing refrigerated and frozen products. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently. Move, stack, organize, and retrieve refrigerated and frozen products. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition. Assist with inventory control and proper product placement. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment. Follow all company safety procedures and cold-storage operating practices. Inspect forklift and warehouse equipment and report any problems or unsafe conditions. Properly handle products to minimize damage and maintain product integrity. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed. Work cooperatively with warehouse personnel, drivers, supervisors, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous forklift and warehouse experience preferred. Cold storage, freezer warehouse, food distribution, or similar experience is a plus. Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and product handling. Must be able to perform physical warehouse work throughout the shift.

PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires working in a refrigerated and freezer warehouse environment for extended periods.

Employees must be able to:

Work safely in cold and freezing temperatures. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, reach, stoop, push, and pull as required. Frequently lift and move warehouse products and materials. Safely enter and exit forklifts and other warehouse equipment throughout the workday.
