Job Title:
Forklift Operator Job Description This role involves safely operating forklifts and related equipment to support installation, construction, mechanical, and assembly activities. You will use hand tools and scissor lifts as needed, and you must bring at least one year of recent forklift operating experience along with a valid forklift certification. Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials as required by daily operations. Use scissor lifts and other material-handling equipment in a safe and controlled manner to support installation and construction tasks. Support installation, construction, mechanical, and assembly work by moving parts, components, and equipment to the appropriate locations. Use hand tools to assist with basic assembly and mechanical tasks as directed by supervisors or project leads. Follow all site safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring materials and equipment are stored safely and correctly. Perform basic pre-operation inspections on forklifts and other equipment, and report any issues or defects immediately. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and onsite personnel to coordinate material movement and workflow. Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance and reliability to support ongoing operations. Present a professional demeanor while working onsite at customer facilities, representing the company positively at all times. Essential Skills At least 1 year of recent forklift operating experience. Valid forklift certification in hand and available for verification. Experience operating scissor lifts or similar lifting equipment. Ability to support installation, construction, mechanical, and assembly tasks. Proficiency using basic hand tools safely and effectively. Strong attendance and reliability, with a consistent record of punctuality. Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment correctly. Professional conduct and communication while working at customer sites. Possession of a valid identification document. Ability to wear and work in steel-toe footwear as required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in construction, mechanical, or industrial environments. Familiarity with basic assembly processes and mechanical components. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail when moving and handling materials. Capability to work collaboratively with onsite teams and supervisors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Garner, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
