Sark Wire is seeking an experienced, safety-conscious Logistics Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, organize, and prepare materials and finished products for shipment.

Schedule:

Work hours will vary based on the daily truck and shipping schedule. Candidates must have flexible availability between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend overtime may also be required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties include, but are not limited to: Load and unload products and materials during shipping and receiving operations. Safely transport and organize materials throughout the warehouse and production areas using a forklift. Maintain an organized and safe empty reel storage area. Move trash and recyclable materials to designated outdoor receptacles daily. Assist with preparing finished products and materials for shipment. Properly position and secure products and materials within shipment trailers. Monitor forklift maintenance needs and notify the Logistics Manager when service or repairs are required. Safely replace forklift propane cylinders in accordance with company procedures. Ensure loading docks, warehouse doors, and designated access areas are properly secured at the end of shipping operations. Complete required equipment inspections and promptly report safety or mechanical concerns. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Assist with general warehouse cleaning, organization, and housekeeping as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 5 years of forklift operating experience, including experience operating forklifts with a 10,000-lb. capacity or greater. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred. Ability to demonstrate safe and proficient forklift operation. Strong understanding of material-handling and forklift safety practices. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on daily shipping requirements. Clean driving record preferred.
