We are looking for an energetic, dependable team player to join our fast-paced, fun environment as an RV Lot Porter / Yard Jockey / Forklift Operator . Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Inventory & Yard Movement (Yard Jockey / Porter) Safely maneuver RVs of all types and sizes (travel trailers, 5th wheels, Class A/B/C motorhomes) around the dealership lot. Spot and dock trailers into tight repair bays, detail areas, and customer staging spots. Stage inventory neatly by brand, model, or status (Sales Ready, Service, Detail, Incoming Trade-ins) to maximize lot space and visual appeal. Perform intake inspections on newly arrived units or trade-ins, documenting existing condition and reporting any damage to managers. Equipment & Forklift Operation Operate heavy forklifts / tractor lifts safely to move, position, or hoist trailers, hitches, or heavy equipment. Perform daily safety and preventative maintenance checks on forklifts, yard trucks, and moving equipment (checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights). Assist with loading/unloading freight trucks or incoming shipments as needed. Sales & Service Support Transport units to and from the Service Department and detail bays to keep daily repair schedules on track. Prepare and stage RVs for customer walkthroughs, deliveries, and showroom displays. Assist with basic prep , such as filling LP gas tanks, topping off fuel, or connecting batteries for demo units. Lot Maintenance & Safety Maintain lot cleanliness , ensuring driving lanes, walk paths, and unit displays are clear of trash, debris, or hazards. Follow strict yard safety protocols to protect high-value inventory, customer units, and dealership personnel.
Qualifications & Requirements Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record (Required). Must be 25 years of age or older in order to be covered under dealership driving and equipment insurance policies.
Experience:
Prior experience towing/backing trailers, driving large vehicles, or operating as a Yard Jockey / Switcher. 1+ years of Forklift operator experience preferred (Certification is a plus).
Skills:
Strong spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and confidence maneuvering large rigs in tight spaces.
Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50-75 lbs regularly (hitch equipment, propane tanks, jacks).
Attitude:
High reliability, team player, and strong focus on safety.
Compensation:
$18.00 - $25.00 /hour starting wage based on experience. Paid every two weeks via direct deposit.
