Full Job Description Essential Functions:
This list is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time. Operate and tend to machine to wash and clean drums. Operate a forklift. Remove impurities and clean up the work area as needed. Assist lid washer, drum handlers, and receivers when needed. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum of 3 years of forklift experience. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to read, write legibly, and speak English. Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, and the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volumes, and distances. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to operate and read a scale. Be able to operate a forklift, pass the company forklift test, and use a hand pallet jack and drum truck. Ability to turn valves on and off, be able to read temperature gauges, and be able to operate a trash compactor. Experience with an inventory.
Physical Requirements:
Must be available to work as needed including overtime and Saturdays. Attendance is a priority. Regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds. Close vision abilities, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Description of the
Work Environment:
This position is part of the Plant and most of the work will take place within the Plant portion of the facility. This position will meet many other employees within the facility, and it is the expectation of the organization that we always maintain an attitude of dignity and respect when interacting with each other.
