In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will contribute significantly to our team's success, supporting timely shipping, receiving, and distribution processes. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in warehouse distribution and equipment operation will be highly valued. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and crane systems to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking and packing tasks accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials through manual handling techniques and heavy lifting practices. Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts, updating inventory management systems, and ensuring proper storage of goods. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipment contents, inspecting for damages, and documenting all transactions in compliance with safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow processes and improve overall warehouse operations. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Valid forklift certification and experience operating heavy equipment such as cherry pickers, clamp trucks, material handling equipment, and cranes. Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for order picking and stock control. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while following OSHA safety guidelines. Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory counts. Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues. Strong attention to safety protocols with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Pay:
