Hiring Forklift Operator With Pay Up To $19.50/hour
In Decatur, IL Responsibilities :
As a Forklift Operator within Receiving & Distribution, you will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations and inventory accuracy. Responsibilities may vary based on business needs and department assignments. Operate material handling equipment, including stand-up, sit-down, turret trucks, and man-up forklifts. Safely move, store, and retrieve materials throughout the warehouse. Perform inventory counts and verify product quantities on the warehouse floor. Apply and verify inventory labels, tags, and identification markings. Ensure inventory accuracy by validating physical inventory against system records. Use printed pick lists to verify parts and materials. Complete basic computer data entry and warehouse transactions. Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment, including the use of fall-protection harnesses when required. Support various warehouse functions as assigned and adapt to changing business needs.Requirements :
Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience. Must have operated a forklift within the last 5 years in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Basic computer skills, including data entry and system navigation. Comfortable operating stand-up/man-up forklifts and working at elevated heights while using required safety equipment. Ability to bend, twist, reach, and lift while locating, counting, and handling inventory. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Reliable attendance history and proven dependability. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to provide professional references that can confirm: Forklift experience and safety practices Strong attendance record Teamwork and collaboration skills Willingness to work required overtime, including mandated overtime when necessary.Pay & Shift :
Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Initial training will be conducted on day shift for approximately 1-3 weeks. Candidates must be available to work assigned shifts following training. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
