The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation within a warehouse environment and will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, ensuring safe and accurate movement of goods throughout the facility. This role is crucial to maintaining smooth operations and supporting our logistics team in meeting production goals. Responsibilities Operate various types of forklifts, including lift trucks, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and order pickers to transport materials within the warehouse. Load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers while ensuring proper handling techniques to prevent damage. Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately. Maintain accurate inventory records during material handling processes, ensuring that all products are accounted for. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols at all times while operating heavy machinery. Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal storage and retrieval of materials. Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with materials handling processes and best practices. Knowledge of OSHA standards related to forklift operation and workplace safety. Mechanical knowledge is preferred, with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Previous experience working under a warehouse supervisor or in a similar role is advantageous. Ability to operate various types of forklifts including pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and order pickers effectively.
