Job Description
Position :
Forklift Operator Adecco Staffing is currently assisting a local client in hiring a Forklift Operator in Normal, IL. We are looking for an ideal candidate with proven experience operating forklifts. Key Responsibilities- Operate various types of material handling equipment including forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
- Safely load and unload shipments while adhering to OSHA and company safety standards in production and warehouse environments
- Assemble mechanical parts per work instructions and customer specifications
- Inspect parts and identify defects Inspect assembled components and identify defects or quality issues
- Operate hand tools and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively
- Read and follow production labels, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership Preferred Background
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and general warehouse safety standards
- Manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Team-oriented mindset and reliable work ethic Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand between 8 and 10 hours per day and walk up to 5 hours per day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Ability to perform repetitive hand motions and fine finger dexterity
- Ability to stoop, reach, push, and pull as needed
- Good vision (including color vision), hearing, and speaking ability
