Job Description

Position Summary:
Penske Logistics is looking for Forklift Operators to join our excellent team! The position operates forklifts to load, unload, move, relocate, and stack items within the warehouse environment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to workplace safety. Job Responsibilities:
Operate sit down counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as neededRead work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments and equipment needsLoads and unloads trailers; moves materials within the warehouseAccurately match numbers & lettersElectronically scan products using a warehouse management systemAccurately stage and sort products for loadingOpens and closes dock doorsMaintain a clean and safe work areaSorts and places parts in racks or other designated areasStacks pallets, bins, totes, etc.

Complies with all safety requirementsShrink wrapping, boxing, labeling as required
Qualifications:
General Forklift, Clamp Truck, Cherry Picker, or Reach Truck experience preferredNo prior warehouse experience required but preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent preferredProficient reading skills and ability to follow directions requiredAbility to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills requiredFlexible to work overtime preferredAbility to work in non-climate-controlled conditions requiredRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills requiredWillingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location requiredComplete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
