Job Description

Overview Savvy Staffing is seeking a Picker Loader / Forklift Operator. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of materials within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and equipment handling, contributing to seamless order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision and safety are paramount. Duties Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods safely and efficiently. Pick customer orders accurately using barcode scanning systems and manual methods, ensuring correct items and quantities are prepared for shipment. Load and unload shipments with attention to weight limits and safety protocols, maintaining proper stacking and storage procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS), supporting inventory management and cycle counting activities. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Use barcode scanners for logistics tracking and inventory updates to facilitate efficient warehouse distribution. Qualifications Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklift trucks and pallet jacks. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology used in logistics. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and order picking. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for weight measurement and inventory counts. Demonstrated commitment to safety standards in production environments with a focus on forklift safety protocols. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently throughout shifts.
Pay:
$19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
