In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and inventory control will ensure smooth distribution operations and accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong safety awareness, manual handling skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Duties Operate sit down forklift, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA safety standards. Load and unload shipments accurately using barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking. Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision to meet shipping deadlines. Manage inventory levels through proper storage techniques and regular cycle counts. Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipment contents against documentation. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment following safety protocols. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and workflow efficiency. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating load & unload operations. Skills Proven experience operating various forklift types Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and barcode scanning for logistics. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards in production environments. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts and measurements. Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling techniques. Skilled in equipment repair basics to troubleshoot minor issues promptly. Knowledge of warehouse operations including order picking, load & unload procedures, and heavy equipment operation. Excellent manual handling skills combined with a focus on safety standards in production settings. Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management tasks.
