Material Handler/Forklift Operator 2 YRS plastic injection molding

Responsible for loading and unloading material, moving material from production work stations.

Job:

Including the following, other duties may be assigned.

• Fill out and maintain process monitoring in the material area (blend log, log for material movement).
• Troubleshoot Dryers and material feed system.
• Document any process changed on the equipment.
• Document any problems with any equipment failure.
• Maintain full levels on all drying hoppers.
• Maintains housekeeping standards in the material, grinding, finish goods area, warehouse, and production floor.
• Respond to job changeovers.
• Documents material traceability.
• Pulls samples for moisture testing.
• Tacking and maintaining inventory levels.
• Empties grinders.
• Cleans filters.
• Blends material.
• Weigh and turn in daily purge information
• Cycle counting when applicable
• Ability and knowledge to scan all production into
• Performs monthly Preventative Maintenance.
• Must drive the Fork Truck safely and efficiently.
• Must adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Interacts with Production Assistant, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Operators to ensure production is not disrupted.
• Seeks Continuous Improvement methods to improve efficiency, quality and reduction of scrap.
• Participate in Problem Solving such as PRR's and Customer concerns.
• Capable to fill in for shipping and receiving when needed.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or member of Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Must be able to interact with coworkers and customers in a cooperative, respectful and professional manner.
• Requires the ability to solve math problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Proficient in written and oral communication, the ability to relay information and provide information in a logical manner.
• Must have the ability to obtain a fork lift certification.
• Must possess safe work habits, a mature attitude and good attendance record and the ability to follow instructions in a timely manner.

2-YRS plastic injection molding experience High School Diploma or GED.

Vision exams are required to be kept up to date (i.e. every 24 months), proof of last vision exam is required for job qualification.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and regularly exposed to vibration and/or airborne particles. May have exposure to various chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud. Exposure to varying temperatures in the manufacturing area ranging from 45-100 or more degrees. May have exposure to outside conditions. Dealing with different types of people and set goals can be stimulating but demanding.

Personal Protective Equipment Required:
