  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Load Builder to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently unloading in bound trucks, stocking LBM materials to there assigned locations without damage, building and loading outbound loads and maintaining a safe and organized yard environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, enhance your warehouse management skills, and contribute to our fast-paced process. In this role from time to time you may also make deliveries utilizing a non cdl required truck & other tasks as assigned. This is a job that has growth potential. All 20 of our Tem Members started on the yard & many have worked their way into Sales & Operations roles many earning 6 figure incomes. This is not a job its a Career Opportunity for the right individual! Duties Safely operate Forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload building materials. Build and secure loads using proper techniques to ensure safety during transit. Assist with order pulling to ensure accurate orders are shipped to our customers Maintain a clean, organized yard by ensuring materials are correctly put away in there assigned locations. Ensure the yard is clear of all dunnage and trash to ensure a positive customer experience for customers picking up materials and to ensure a safe enviroment for all. Perform daily pre-trip inspections on your forklift and trucks when you are needed to deliver a load. Report mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Support warehouse management by tracking inventory movements within the warehouse management system (ECI Spruce) Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies during all operations to promote a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting. Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting. ( Most all loading is done by a forklift but in some instances lumber is loaded by hand) Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately. Prior Lumber yard experience with shipping & receiving, materials handling, and heavy equipment operation preferred. Must have a valid drivers license with no dui's or major violations Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse distribution environments.
