Job Description

Forklift-Material Handler Responsibilities Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area. Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintains in-process inventory by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off material holders. Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations. Follow 6s Lean Manufacturing principles Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Certification in forklift operation preferred Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery Data entry, math and computer skills Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds Effective leadership and team management skills Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work with a team Written and verbal communication skills High school diploma, GED or 2+ years of experience Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
