1st Shift Warehouse Worker Forklift Operator

Duties Safely operate seat down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using pick systems and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage inventory movement through proper stacking, palletizing, and materials handling techniques to maintain organized storage areas. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and inspecting goods for quality. Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure all heavy equipment remains in optimal working condition. Support warehouse management by participating in stock audits, cycle counts, and implementing safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution workflows while adhering to safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshoot issues. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Able to lift over 50 lbs.
