Job Description

JOB TITLE
Building Custodian/Forklift Operator/CLASSIFICATION:
Full-Time, non-exempt
REPORTS TO
Warehouse Supervisors, Warehouse Operations Manager, and/or General Manager
BASIC FUNCTION
The Building Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely lift, turn, position and transfer product accordingly
  • Must have a satisfactory background check
  • Must comply with OSHA and SOS Standards
  • Ability to work in harsh conditions, both hot/cold environments
  • 1-2 years janitorial experience, preferred
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience, preferred
RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Empty trash cans throughout the warehouse
  • Place refuse into dumpsters
  • Operate the riding floor sweeper to sweep the warehouse
  • Use push brooms to sweep areas inaccessible by the riding sweeper
  • Sweep in between pallet locations (floors and racks)
  • Assist in the cleanup of damaged product
  • Mop and liquid spills in the warehouse
  • Clean up any debris located throughout the warehouse
  • Sweep debris from the ground outside dock doors
  • Remove dust from warehouse racking
  • Snow removal and salt the employee and main NCL entrances
  • Perform product audits for the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Complete and maintain daily/weekly/monthly logs
  • Other duties as assigned
