FORKLIFT DRIVER PRIMARY DUTIES
•Operate and care for a forklift in a safe manner Responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of trailers, minimizing lot and or dock area congestion Locate corrugated stock in the warehouse, trailer, and on the production floor, and deliver to the appropriate machine, trailer, or warehouse location. Provide accurate information of loaded/unloaded materials and materials used or produced to warehouse personnel. Follow established forklift procedures and complete required safety and maintenance checklists. Ability to use a scanner, tablet, and/or computer to record/maintain/adjust inventory counts Other general labor or warehouse duties as assigned Regular prolonged sitting while operating a propane, sit-down forklift Prolonged standing and repetitive motion, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling Requires maneuvering up to 100 pounds of material
BASIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Must have a valid driver's license Good math skills Timely and regular attendance Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED One or more years of experience operating a forklift Previous experience in the corrugated industry preferred, but not required Previous experience utilizing a scanner, tablet, and computer Experience with Kiwi is a plus, but not required
JOB TYPE
Full-time, first shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:00 pm with potential overtime. Hourly Pay Rate $20.00 EEO
