Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Receiving Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inbound shipments, accurately handling materials, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment will help maintain optimal inventory levels and support seamless warehouse operations. Duties Safely operate a variety of forklifts including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Manage inbound shipments by verifying delivery documents, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and recording receipt details using barcode scanning systems. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for any issues with forklifts or other material handling equipment. Assist in inventory management by organizing stock in designated areas, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and conducting cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels. Support order picking and shipping activities by preparing items for outbound delivery, ensuring accuracy with order picker operations, and maintaining proper documentation. Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting and materials handling to prevent injuries and promote a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience operating forklift types such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo's, and other material handling equipment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control processes. Familiarity with warehouse distribution procedures including shipping & receiving protocols. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts accurately. Understanding of OSHA regulations and forklift safety standards in production environments. Experience with manual handling techniques for heavy lifting to ensure safety during materials movement. Warehouse experience with a focus on materials handling equipment operation, warehouse operations coordination, and heavy equipment repair awareness is preferred.
