Overview Anex Warehouse and Distribution has an opening for a weekend shift, forkilft operator. Located at our West Mifflin, PA. facility. This opening is for a Weekend, daylight shift that includes both Saturday and Sunday shifts. Your expertise in operating heavy equipment will ensure smooth, safe, and timely movement of goods throughout our distribution center. We utilize Tradional racking systems, as well as individual stack racks to manage our inventory. Working with racking must be a comfortable task for the ideal candidate. There will be requirements to periodically lift up to 50 Lbs. to complete order picking tasks. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and/ or pallet jacks, to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using RF scanners and pick systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling. Conduct heavy lifting and materials handling activities while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with inventory management by organizing stock locations, conducting stock counts, and maintaining accurate records within warehouse management systems. Support warehouse distribution processes by loading and unloading trucks, stacking pallets, and ensuring proper storage of goods. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on operational improvements, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance needs. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or construction environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic issues with forklifts or other machinery. Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems for accurate inventory control. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking or load & unload activities. Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management best practices is a plus.
