Position Summary Operates seated and standing forklift to transfer product from warehouse floor to load trucks. Responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the warehouse facility. Provides a high level of member service. Job Duties Moves Merchandise by hand or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of merchandise. Open and closes bay doors and pulls pins for the dock plate. Unloads and stocks incoming merchandise, picking of outgoing merchandise, and loading of outbound trailers when needed. Checks, verifies, and audits merchandise and enters data into remote data terminals to ensure that ordered merchandise has been received and that merchandise is as ordered and not damaged or defective. Operates a forklift, when needed, to move and put away merchandise, and replenishes pick areas identified by replenishment reports and various requests for needed merchandise. Obtains customer orders identifying merchandise that has been requested and fills merchandise order by selecting and moving merchandise from active slot to flat. Reports damages and vendor compliance issues. Resolves problems or discrepancies with help from the immediate manager. Meets department demands without sacrificing quality. Uses forklift to obtain product, stages product and moves door using small hand tools including powered tools to meet the specific customer request. Cleans area by picking up packaging and cardboard material. Operates cardboard baler. Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery. Assists with department duties as necessary. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary. For additional information about pay ranges, click here.
