Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler on the third shift, where your expertise will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts, to safely load, unload, and organize inventory. Your attention to safety standards and precision in handling materials will contribute to a productive and secure warehouse environment. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, stand -up and sit-down forklifts to load and unload shipments. Manage inventory through barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and ensure proper storage using warehouse management systems. Pick and prepare orders with precision using order picker equipment while adhering to safety protocols in manual handling and heavy lifting. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to maintain optimal operation and safety compliance. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials efficiently for timely dispatch or storage. Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards in production environments to promote a safe working atmosphere for all team members. Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as operational lifts. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, load & unload operations, and warehouse distribution workflows. Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to materials handling equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Excellent attention to detail in order picking, inventory control, and equipment maintenance tasks.
