Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator and Order Puller to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks, to accurately pick, load, and unload merchandise. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes, uphold safety standards in production, and maintain optimal inventory management. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and manual pallet jacks safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards. Pick orders accurately using barcode scanning systems and manual methods, ensuring correct quantities and product specifications. Load and unload shipments, verifying shipment contents against shipping documents to maintain inventory accuracy. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to ensure operational safety and reliability. Manage inventory levels by organizing stock in designated warehouse areas and updating warehouse management systems accordingly. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch and documenting movement of materials. Follow proper manual handling procedures for heavy lifting and materials handling to prevent workplace injuries. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols in all warehouse operations. Experience Prior experience operating forklift equipment such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, or similar heavy machinery within a warehouse or distribution center. Proven knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology used for logistics. Familiarity with inventory management practices, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is preferred. Experience with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting is essential. Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations. Previous roles involving order picking, load & unload operations, or warehouse supervision are advantageous. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments.
