Previous metal-manufacturing experience is not required—we are willing to teach the right person how to operate our panel, trim and production equipment. However, this is not an entry-level forklift position . Applicants must already be confident and highly capable operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using tools, dependable and willing to help wherever needed in the shop. Responsibilities Safely operate a forklift throughout the workday Load and unload trucks and trailers Move heavy, long and oversized materials safely Stage materials and pull customer orders Assist with manufacturing metal roofing panels and trim Help package and prepare completed orders Use basic hand and power tools Perform minor equipment adjustments and basic maintenance Maintain an organized, clean and safe shop Assist with inventory and receiving materials Follow production instructions and safety procedures Required Qualifications Strong forklift operating skills Previous warehouse, manufacturing or material-handling experience Comfortable maneuvering loads in tight spaces Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools Able to read a tape measure accurately Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Able to follow instructions and work independently Able to lift approximately 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift Willing to work both inside and outside in varying temperatures Safety-minded and careful when handling customer materials Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required: Metal manufacturing Roofing or building materials Lumber or steel warehouses Machine operation Order pulling and inventory Loading flatbed trailers Basic mechanical or equipment maintenance What We Are Looking For We want someone who: Takes pride in doing the job correctly Is dependable and arrives on time Notices what needs to be done without always being told Works safely without moving unnecessarily slowly Treats equipment, materials and customer orders carefully Wants to learn new machinery and grow with the company Selected applicants will be asked to complete an on-site forklift skills assessment.
