Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution and be proficient in operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. This role is essential for ensuring efficient materials handling, shipping, and receiving operations. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload materials. Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management. Assist with shipping and receiving duties, ensuring all products are properly documented and stored. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety standards at all times. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Engage in heavy lifting as required, moving products throughout the warehouse as needed. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment. Experience Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a focus on materials handling and order picking. Familiarity with operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment is essential. Knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology is advantageous. Experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is a plus. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation is beneficial for troubleshooting purposes. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift while maintaining safety protocols.
