Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment will help us maintain a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems and manual methods to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and updating warehouse management systems (WMS). Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting loads for damage, and ensuring proper documentation. Follow all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety standards in production and warehouse operations to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure all machinery remains in optimal working condition. Support warehouse distribution efforts by organizing materials for easy access and efficient storage solutions. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Familiarity with safety standards including OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and manual handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and shipment documentation. Strong understanding of materials handling techniques such as heavy lifting, load & unload procedures, and manual handling safety practices. Previous experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
