Duties Safely operate heavy-duty forklifts including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Manage inventory by accurately scanning barcodes, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and conducting regular stock counts. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials, stacking pallets, and organizing warehouse storage areas to maximize space efficiency. Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely dispatches and deliveries. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to maintain optimal safety and performance. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety protocols and warehouse safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with warehouse supervisors to streamline operations and improve workflow. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy-duty material handling equipment such as forklifts (including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo), pallet jacks, and lift trucks in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory management procedures. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and manual handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy. Excellent manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting and sustained physical activity throughout shifts. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, materials handling, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; familiarity with equipment repair is a plus.
